what an experience.....

Well the Prescott show is over...wow.
Outside shows definitely have their challenges. This one just happened to have all the challenges at once.

But before I start my therapeutic spilling of emotion, let me just say thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to say hi, take a peek and even buy a few things. It was wonderful to meet everyone.

Our fellow vendors were wonderful too. A big HI! to the gentlemen from the Prescott Woodworkers Club. Thanks for all your help.

Hugs and smooches to Sweetie and the Bledsoe clan...that Pumpkin Spice latte really hit the spot!

The biggest thank you and great big hugs go to Donna and Ken. WOW! you two are so sweet and amazing. Thank you so much for opening your home to Jen and I and doing all you did for us.
----(big hug)-----

ok, here's a quick recap of the events of the day.....
Tent went up...and wind took tent down over night...not just down but over, inside out and broken everywhere....ugh

This is not us...but its similar. Ours was more twisted broken metal. I was too distraught to take any pictures of the actual event.

Wind kept blowing....blowing cold air...COLD! Blew us, blew the jewelry to the ground, blew the necklaces into piles of tangled chain.

Moving "booth" spaces (not really a booth when you have no tent...see above) to try and get away from the hurricane force Arctic winds. No help from the staff....just lots of trips with piles of our stuff through the shoppers.

Did I mention it was cold and the wind was blowing right through us?
Blowing the jewelry, blowing the customers!
It was almost too cold to shop (gasp!)
ok, done with the complaining :)
thanks for letting me get that out. Its taken me days to be able to even think about it again to write about it.

But I have learned some lessons from this, and that is what this is all about.
I have another show this weekend, Bazaar Bizarre in Austin, TX.
Its inside thank goodness!
But I have some new displays and a new outlook on things.
This one is gonna be great!
If you are in Austin come on by and say hi!
I am looking forward to sharing more stories when we get back!
xoxo
