I spent a wonderful afternoon at the
Phoenix Art Museum with two great friends, Jeremy just in from Montana and
Jen (check out her Etsy shop, she makes those lampwork beads!).
It's free every Tuesday after 3pm my fellow Phoenicians, get out there and get cultured!
We saw so much great stuff~
And I have the pictures to prove it!
I took about 100 pictures, how do I pick just a few for the blog???
I guess I pick my favorites!
Here we go!
The Mermaid
If you look just to the left of her face you will see her friend, just love it!
I love the wings on this one and the pink sleeves.
The most haunted bride I have ever seen....
Shells! There is the daintiest of dragonflys off to the left in this picture.
Something about her face...a hint of a smile and those eyes just draw me in.
I just realized all these pictures were taken in just one of the galleries in the museum...let me add a few other pictures from other galleries for more of a taste!
Philip Curtis...
he had so many funky amazing pieces. I am definitely going to need to spend some more time checking him out!
The fashion room was very cool. Unfortunately we were not allowed to photograph many of the designs...but I LOVE this skirt.
This was pretty cool, its actually the remains of a building that was struck my lightning and burned.
Just plain creepy, but so colorful!
Ahhh, the minitures room. This was so much fun! Unfortunately there was so much glare it was hard to get good photos of all the mini rooms.
But this one is my dream bedroom.
I was going to tease Romy and tell her this was the new dollhouse I put together!
What a great way to spend the afternoon!
xoxo
