What a weekend! Busy Busy Monday, too

I went to a great discount fabric store with my friend Deb and her daughter Vanessa this weekend here in Phoenix called SAS. Too bad I don't sew, lots of great stuff there. I did find some goodies for crafty projects though.

It was a beautiful day so I guess flowers were on my mind!

Even Vanessa was enjoying herself as her mommy put the car seat in the back. She was practicing her diva skills!

Saturday night John and I ended up at Dave and Buster's with some friends. We had a great time! John is going to kill me for this, but here it is anyway!

Since the video took all day to finally load up I can share all the things I made today!
I have Spring Fever, I really do! And here to help me prove that is:

Yes! Those are toothpick legs! Just cracks me up!

And....Spring is the time to get your garden back in shape.

We've got ourselves a mushroom farmer here.

Thank you all so much for your interest in my blog and shop. I am getting more and more excited by this with each email and comment I get.

mmmm, sparkly!

I have been out in the backyard taking photos (Lauren taught me that natural light is the best I am working on my skills Lauren!) and was buzzed by the biggest bumble bee I have ever seen! I know those that know me well will be thinking "ok, Karin, I know you hate bees, how big could this bee have been..." but SERIOUSLY! it was a hum-dinger!

And then I went to the side-fence-wall-thing (cinder block here, no wood) to take some photos and on the wall was a little lizard! Too cute! I whipped up the camera to take a shot and this is what I got:

Yeah, I don't see him either...fast little guy. I will be on the look out from now on though.

Up and Running!

While some of us have been lazing around sunning ourselves...

Others (me) have been busy getting the store ready to go. And guess what??? Its open!

It's getting closer!

I have been working on getting everyone's email addresses into one account, I am still searching for the addresses of a few important people...I better get on the phone and just admit I don't know their email addresses.

I have also been taking lots of pictures to practice with my new camera and I set up the Etsy shop (nothing in it yet, but it is there!). I have been buzzing around the house with excitement today...someone else seemed to care less...he was hanging out on the couch with his bunny.

There should be goodies on the Etsy shop by the end of the week...gotta get ready for the Grand Opening!

I find myself without the comfort of my 9 to 5 job. Sure I found some days tedious with the whole "what have you done for me lately" attitude, but it was what I knew. I would often daydream about what I would do if I didn't do the 9 to 5.

Well, that opportunity has been given to me. Its scary and exciting all at the same time.

I am ready!
I am ready to make the jewelry I love to make. I am ready to learn new ways to express my creativity. I am ready for my new life.

Thank you so much to those special people in my life who have been so supportive and excited for me. I cant wait to get started...so here I go.
